Section 4: Technical infrastructure and redundancy (weight 11%)

This is where most vendors win or lose a serious RFP. Ask the vendor to describe the production stack — switching, encoders, audio path, captioning rig, distribution platform — and to name the redundancy at each layer. Primary and backup encoders. Two internet paths. A standby presenter feed. Standby crew on call.

Score against four sub-criteria: clarity of stack diagram, named redundancy per layer, documented failover procedure, and last 12 months of incident history. Vendors who refuse to share incident history are telling you something.

Section 5: Platform integration and distribution (weight 8%)

A webinar that the audience cannot find is not a webinar. This section covers registration platform integration, marketing automation handoff, on-demand publishing, secure delivery for internal events, and any required SSO. Creative scope is the line item most likely to bloat mid-project. Strong vendors itemize creative deliverables: opening package, lower thirds template, transitions, sponsor reels, on-demand thumbnail, post-event social cuts. Weak vendors quote a creative allowance with no named outputs.

Score 5 when the response lists specific deliverables with revision rounds and turnaround times. Score 1 when the response uses the word "branded" without naming a single asset.

Section 7: Accessibility and captioning (weight 7%)
